Even from a young age, the prideful Rayhana knew that she wanted to be a Ranger. Upon reaching the appropriate age, she sailed through the required training and became one of the best soldiers in Gara-Kaan.
After destroying the Feytin city-state of Neprikaas, the Pit Lords set their sights on Wylok Forest. The demon army smashed their way through the woods but were met with resistance from the Seyers who were able to stop the horde though they suffered heavy losses.
It wasn’t until the demons began to flee that they began to take prisoners, including Rayhana’s infant son. Wanting to go after him, Rayhana was prevented from doing so by her husband, Elator, who demanded that he be allowed to go after their child instead. Reluctantly agreeing to stay behind to look after the injured survivors, Rayhana could only watch as her husband organized a search party and left the village to get back their taken brethren.
Over the course of a decade, Rayhana lost her will to live while patiently waiting for her husband to return with their son. Thanks to their telepathic link she knew that they were both still alive somewhere, but strict societal rules forbade her from leaving Wylok Forest to search for them. Now filled with resentment towards her own people, Rayhana dreams of being able to leave her village to find her family.
Role: Ranger/Hunter/Tracker/Spell Caster
Height: 6’5
Weight: 185 lbs
Race: Seyer
Seyers are tall and have pale skin that can sometimes even be stark white. They have an acute sense of hearing and sight thanks in large part to their long ears and telescopic-like eyes; which also gives them the ability to see well in the dark. They are also only slightly affected by harsh climates.
An additional skill possessed by the Seyers is the ability to remain perfectly still and blend with their surroundings. As you can imagine, this makes them excellent hunters when armed with a bow and arrows which they are natural masters of. Quick, agile, and acrobatic; Seyers generally feel more comfortable leaping from treetop to treetop rather than walking on the forest floor.
When grouped with other Seyers, this race is capable of group telepathy with each member of the group connecting to the hive mind. The more Seyers in the group, the stronger the telepathic link is, thus causing them to move in unison akin to a flock of birds.
Cautious, brave, and stern, Rayhana can also be described as quite kind hearted. She is dedicated to her friends which includes her loyal bird companion, Fyro. Driven by her desire to find her family, she is motivated by pure love and passion.
The entire Seyer race lives in a vast forest kingdom known as Wylok Forest. Made up of many smaller clans, each with their own unique tattoo patterns, the Seyers are all loyal to their empress, the Lady Haashaani. When under attack, the clans rally together as one unified force.
Seyers know how to live off the land and are excellent trackers and hunters. Only through years of intense training, however, can a Seyer obtain the coveted title of Ranger. The training involves testing on knowledge of forest survival, tracking and hunting certain beasts, learning to craft a bow and arrows from what they can find in the forest, and much more. Upon completing all of these tests, a Seyer can become an official Ranger and keep the bow that they crafted for themselves as a reminder of their status.
Seyers revere birds as sacred creatures and each clan works with a different species of bird; working and training with them until they are partners. The Gara-Kaan clan trains birds of prey to be allies in battle, the Gara-Po clan trains giant flightless birds to be ridden along the forest floor, and the
Gara-Shaam clan trains a species of giant flying birds which support archers.
Seyers are proficient with a forceful kicking style of martial art called Kay-taago which means that their legs are unnaturally strong. Brilliant at battle strategy, she is capable of spotting enemies from long distances due to her superior eyesight and hearing. In addition to this, Rayhana is an expert with her bow and arrow and is capable of shooting five arrows at a time.
Rayhana’s primary weapon is her bow which is the same one that she made while studying to become a Ranger. Her bow is unique among her race as she was able to find an extremely rare, unbreakable red tree known as a Verill tree. Finding a perfect branch on the ground, she fashioned the wood into an unbreakable bow.
Rayhana is already in possession of a Putrid Wisp by the time she meets Dar-Pan which makes her a Putrefier Spell Caster. Along their quest, Rayhana also obtains a Fury Wisp which makes her a Berserker Spell Caster.
