After the giant crystal fell on to Erridose, creating the Black Pit, this area of planet became covered in permafrost. Constantly battered by cold sleet, this area was once home to a population of people who farmed the area and sold their crops to traveling merchants. Once the crystal struck, most of these villages were forced to disperse due to the ground becoming hard and poisoned. One small village has managed to adapt to this new world and continues to live on as the last bit of civilization in the region for adventurers to stop at before they set forth into the icy tundra.
