In this world of magic, monsters, and warfare, known as Erridose, there are those with the ability to use magic known as Spell Casters. In order to become a Spell Caster, a being must bond with a small magical flying creature known as a Sprite, through an extreme emotional act be it anger, bravery, honesty, or even evil. All sprites are born and roam freely within a parallel dimensional spiritual realm, known as the Maarose. Once an extreme emotional act is committed in the physical realm by an individual, a Sprite may notice the high energy surge created by that action, and then phase out of the Maarose in order to form a partnership with the being in question. Once bonded, the Sprite evolves into a Wisp and grants its host with the ability to use a unique set of magical abilities, thus making that host a Spell Caster.

Wisps aren’t equipped with infinite energy, however, and must occasionally be recharged by its host using a talisman made from the crystals that all Sprites are born from. The talismans keep the Wisp safe and allow it to recharge, but consequently, a Spell Caster cannot conduct spells as long as his or her wisp is housed within their talisman. Only when a Wisp becomes fully charged and leaves it’s talisman, is when a Spell Caster can continue conducting spells.

The world is not a peaceful one though. Long ago, Balki, the most powerful Spell Caster ever known in Erridose, host to more Wisps than any other, cast an immensely destructive spell that summoned a giant meteor creating a huge crater which came to be named The Black Pit. It wasn’t long before demons from the Maarose began to spawn from it and wreak havoc on the entire world. Led by the evil Balki, his ultimate goal is to obtain every type of Wisp in existence and take over the world.

The only hope for all living beings in Erridose is a time-traveling Spell Caster named Faelin. It is her quest to work her way through time and space to unite a powerful party of adventurers. These adventurers are known as the Spell Warriors and they will be the ones who stand united against the evil that threatens their world.
